The LSA is getting worse

I wanted to think the logistics were getting better, but they are not.

There is not enough space to unload the semi's that are comming in, no one knows who needs what where.

Now the people who own the pizza shop in the strip mall want to re-open so they are making us close down our little part of the operation, or at least they want us to, we are not sure what we are going to end up doing.

THERE IS 1 FEMA GUY FOR THIS ENTIRE COUNTY!

Someone someplace, with some authority and brains, needs to get their asses over here, take this place over and get it running right.

There is zero organization going on here still. If we don't get a high official here who can fix this mess, its going to be more and more days of people not getting what they need.

A Red Cross worker with a load just came and asked us if we knew where people needed things. She said most of her trucks drove around yesterday to their estabilished PODs, which are seperate from the PODs we have or this location has, and they were all full. So they drove around asking people if they knew where to drop.

How come there is not one place that is keeping track of this for the Gulfport-Biloxi area? Where is the planning, where are the maps? What phone number do people call to get a load dropped off?

None of that exists in a comprehensive way.

People here are burning out, throwing up their hands in frustration.

We have two semi trucks with mixed, loose loads and no one has any clue what to do with them.

Don't let this discourage anyone from collecting and getting stuff down here, it is needed, it will get figured out, but the frustration is running at dangerous levels. A fist fight almost broke out when a community leader with a truck came looking for a load and for some messed up reason they were told they could not load here. The truckers said screw that and kept loading until the person making them stop brought over the cops.

We can't store stuff because our warehouse is full and they wont let things go out!!

It would be nice if these damn FEMA rolls of plastic would get out of here, they are a good portion of the warehouse space, but no one will release them still.

Somehow, someone has to get a high official here who can get this place organized. The national guard needs to take this place over, they know how to get stuff done.

Anyone with any federal contacts needs get someone here.
